At Ficoba, we do not only host events, but we also fully organize our own trade fairs and congresses.
We design, plan and produce events that make a difference, in order to respond to the needs and interests of our environment, both the business world and the general public. We are surrounded by co-operating entities, companies and associations that, edition after edition, continue to trust us to publicize their work.
For more than 20 years, we have been adding value to the area through unique events where you can meet and share. These are some of the events we would like to highlight.
Ababor is the nautical trade fair of Euskadi, a trade show dedicated to recreational boating, water activities and tourism. It is, therefore, an essential appointment for people who like sailing and who are interested in acquiring a new boat, in hiring services for the one they already have or simply to find out about the latest developments in the sector. In 2025 it reaches its third edition, and we are also celebrating Elkarrekin Ababor, a set of nautical activities that take place in the surroundings of the Bay of Txingudi.
The vegan festival of Euskadi held its first edition in 2019 to approach a new reality and the citizens’ new concerns and interests. Respect for animals, care for the environment and sustainability take precedence in this event that takes place in December. Products, services and an extensive program with workshops, presentations, talks and music to introduce us to this lifestyle that is lately acquiring so much relevance. Be Veggie attracts not only the vegan public, but also people with curiosity, open to try new products and willing to discover a 100% vegetable world that leaves no one indifferent.
Euskadi’s trade fair for ecological products, bioconstruction, renewable energies and responsible consumption reaches its 22nd edition in 2025. As one of the first large-format ecological fairs in Spain, it was one of Ficoba’s big bets at its inauguration. Year after year it has been consolidating and adapting to the market, offering interesting products and services for final customers and professional buyers. Bioterra is also complemented by a program of parallel activities such as show cookings, round tables and workshops to learn and enjoy.
Promoted by Mubil HUB, the HUB of intelligent and sustainable mobility in the Basque Country, this is the professional trade show for the sustainable mobility industry in southern Europe, a fair that has already held four successful editions, bringing together the most innovative companies in the industrial and digital sector. Mubil Mobility Expo is a professional fair, and with it we are committed to generating business opportunities throughout the value chain of sustainable mobility, promoting public-private collaboration.
Uhinak is the cross-border congress on climate change and coastline organized by Ficoba together with the Azti technology center. A congress that each edition brings together about 150 researchers and professionals in order to listen, discuss and learn about the latest studies and projects. Its aim is to open paths from science towards the mitigation of the climate emergency and for this we rely on the interaction of scientists, experts, public administrations and companies.
This is the only fair in Spain dedicated exclusively to welding and other joining technologies. Its own naming indicates the idea of joining, not only in the basic function of welding, but also as a trade fair: it is the meeting point where union is strength. We organized UNIRE for the first time in 2023 and in 2025 comes its second edition with more exhibiting companies to connect even more professionals and companies in the sector with the latest news and trends.
